MFB Has selected MGLSAT and the GARMIN InReach device on an Enterprise platform for the tracking of their search and rescue teams in USAR.  Station Officer SUAREZ said, "They are a great asset to the brigade and give us clear tracking and satellite 2-way text & email communications regardless of where the ground teams might be operating.  Expanding our capabilities far beyond line of sight radio comms is very important for deployments we may do interstate for floods, fires etc, and the InReach fits that bill completely"  

The USAR team has purchased a group of the GARMIN InReach devices with all of them visible for communication on a single web portal.  Team members can send and receive messages anywhere on the planet and be tracked accurately from the Emergency Management Command Centre at Melbourne.
