Inmarsat would like to advise you of a scheduled maintenance activity for the GSPS service on all ocean regions. They will be performing GSC software upgrade on the ground equipment located at their Satellite Access Station (SAS) in Paumalu, Subic Bay and Fucino. This upgrade to support GSPS Mark II UT features and Alphasat operation. There will be a brief service outage of 15 minutes maximum during this activity.
Reason for notice: Planned maintenance.
Services affected: GSPS.
Regions/Spots affected: All Regions (AMER, APAC and EMEA).
Date of outage: 04/09/2013 (AMER), 11/09/2013 (APAC) and 18/09/2013 (EMEA).
Start of Maintenance period: 07.00 UTC (AMER), 18.00 UTC (APAC), and 21.00 UTC (EMEA).
End of Maintenance period: 09.00 UTC (AMER), 20.00 UTC (APAC), and 23.00 UTC (EMEA).
Single or Multiple Outage(s) & duration(s): Single outage for 15 minutes.
Outage Impact: GSPS users will not be able to make calls.
The UT may lose network camping within the period.
Terminal Types affected: GSPS and SPS terminals.
